It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ina Sophia Nordstrom of Hancock, Michigan, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Poyhonen and Wilhelmina Poyhonen (Tapani); her son-in-law Ernest Pietila; her great grandchildren, Mari Kantola and Len Eskola; her siblings, Arthur, Elvie Abramson, Edna Heinonen, Viola Poyhonen, Erma Kilpela, Martha Poyhonen and Mildred Johnson; and her half-siblings, Gotha Linder and Rudolph Poyhonen.
She is survived by: her spouse Oskar Ferdinand Nordstrom; her children, Ann Pietila, Ruth Koski (Russ) and David Nordstrom (Judy); and her siblings, Lillian Kilpela, Ruth Jurmu and Ray Poyhonen (Dorothy). She is also survived by 31 grandchildren along with their spouses.
