He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Ahonen and Elsie Ahonen (Steinhilb); his grandparents, Antti, Ida Ahonen (Kangas), Helmuth and Lillie Steinhilb (Kratt); his brother Jeffrey Ahonen; his daughter Amy Ahonen; his siblings-in-law, Esther Rhodes, Edith Maki and Vince Randazzo; and his nephew Colton Ahonen.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ahonen (Maki); his children, Andrea Rezabek (Michael), Annette Ahonen, Andrew Ahonen (Kathy) and Alison West (James); his siblings, Judith Georgic (John), James Ahonen (Sheryll), Jeanne Randazzo and Jay Ahonen (Marie); his grandchildren, Jason Cox (Margaret), Nicholas LaLonde, Tamara LaLonde, Amanda Jagh, Sarah Jagh, Nathan Jagh, Natalie and Lucas Ahonen; his great grandchildren, Peyton Kloc, Emma Disney, Declan Disney and Denver Cox; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Maki and Eva Bayles (Bill). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
