She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Eakin and Fred Eakin; her husband Wilho Ylitalo; her son-in-law Dave Carlson; her granddaughter Kristen Carlson; her siblings, William, David and Elsie Luoma; and her siblings-in-law, Catherine Eakin, Josephine Eakin, Eva Wakeham, Sally Ylitalo, Edna Ylitalo, Amelia Ylitalo, Jack Wakeham, Laurie Wiitala, Earl Smith, Pete Luoma, Oscar Ylitalo, Walfred Ylitalo and Erik Ylitalo.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Ann Quayle (Dave) of Hancock, Patricia Carlson of Hancock and Cindy Whitfield (Lantz) of Marquette; her grandchildren, Craig Hosking (Chrissanne), Mark Hosking, Brian Hosking (Lena), Pam Herzog (Steve), Kevin Carlson (Mirka), Brooke Carlson, Courtney Whitfield, Allison Blassingame (J. T.), Lindsey Morrow (Rob) and Kaylee Mather (Brent); her great grandchildren, Alex, Amber, Molly, Elwood, Agatha, Amanda, Davide, Matteo, Lilly, Boden and Jonah; and her siblings, John (Vivian), Fred, George (June), Harold (Fran), Mabel Wakeham, Lilly Wiitala, Vera Smith and Loretta Laplander (Jim). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy Ylitalo of Hancock went to be with Jesus, Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at the age of 92 due to complications from Parkinson's.
