She was predeceased by: her parents, Toivo Lindstrom and Elma Lindstrom (Juntunen); and her siblings, William Lindstrom, Lenore Elaine Wood, Richard Lindstrom and Mary Ann Lindstrom.
She is survived by: her husband Alvin Kempainen; her sister Evelyn Puuri; her children, Janet O'Brien (Daniel), Ann Willmer (William) and Alan Kempainen (Margaret); her grandchildren, Wesley Corey (Jaime), Christopher O'Brien (Johanna), Jeffrey O'Brien (Amanda), David O'Brien (Juli Sproules), Timothy Willmer (Kelly Schiedermayer), Tyler Willmer, Jacob Kempainen and Kathleen Kempainen; and her great grandchildren, Leah, Ava Corey, Natasha, Edward, Calvin, Easton O'Brien and Brinley Willmer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hancock.
