He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Rankens and Jeanette Rankens; his former wife Sandra Rankens; and his brother-in-law Wayne Brower. He is survived by: his wife Carol Rankens (Wedeven); his children, Kevin Rankens (Elizabeth), Tonia Kuhn (Joseph) and Heather Zacker (Steven); his stepchildren, Dan Wedeven (Dawn), Chris Wedeven (Corla) and Nicole Blauwkamp (Ross); his sister Belva Brower; and his in-laws, Dianne VanderMolen (Ray), Shari Duimstra (Bill), Julie Eding (Vern), Tom Schipper (Cindy) and Jane Dunkerton (Jim). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
