He was predeceased by: his brother Bob Mesbergen. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Mesbergen; his children, Sara (Ben Mazurek), Craig (Jodi Mesbergen), Michelle (Scott Geurink) and Mark (Sara Mesbergen); his siblings, Bill (Sonia Mesbergen) and Kay (Dave Poskey); his sister-in-law Ruth Mesbergen; his sister Beth (Keith Vanden Bosch); and his brother-in-law Roger (Mary Smoes). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in Roger's honor may be made to "Project Grow" at Bentheim Reformed Church.
