She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jake Bowman and Gertrude Bowman; her husband Marvin Van Doornik; her grandson Derrick Van Doornik; her sons, Dr. Steven Van Doornik (Eileen), Fred Van Doornik (Lori) and William Van Doornik (Sara); her grandchildren, Michael Van Doornik (Lauren), Alissa Hamblin (Cory), Kelli Green (Chris), Hans Van Doornik, Amanda Rowe (Paul), Tina Ontkos (Alex) and Joseph Van Doornik (Marissa Ortisi); her great grandchildren, Autumn Van Doornik, Charlotte Rowe, Liam Rowe, Kelsey Hamblin and Quinn Van Doornik; and her sister-in-law Elaine Van Doornik. She was also cherished by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given in Clariss' name to Kids Hope USA or First Reformed Church.
