He was predeceased by: his brother Duane Wentzel (Tony); his parents-in-law, Carl Sandahl, Paul, Sara Thompson and Marilyn Sipple; his niece Kathy Sipple; and his nephew Ted Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife Bernice; his daughters, Carol Poppema (Ron) and Jan Schrotenboer (Doug); his great grandchildren, Craig (Katie), Poppema (Anna), Laura (Travis), Randy (Marie), Scott (Julie), Schrotenboer (Sam), Cara (Trevor) and Riley (Ford); and his parents-in-law, Yvonne Wentzel, Maxine Sandahl, Lawrence Don Miner (Carolyn), Jack Sipple and Many.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church or Hospice of Holland.
