He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Keehl and Lavina Keehl (Zimmerman); his siblings, Warren and Dorothy; and his son Brett Keehl.

He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Ladd; and his sons, Bret and Garth Keehl. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and their children.
