We are sad to announce that on January 17, 2024, at the age of 88, Nancy Mae Niva of Hamburg, Michigan, born in Laurium, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Tervo and Sadie Tervo (Stein); and her sister Betty (Troy). She is survived by: her sisters, Norma (Kilberg) and Dawn (Kushiner); her children, Beth Sliwowski (Chester), Brad Niva and Jill Cooper (David); and her grandchildren, Saundra Snyder (Greg), Stuart Sliwowski (Katie), Sarah Sliwowski (Zack Rodebaugh), Suzanne Sliwowski, Samantha Niva, Andrew Niva, Matt Suszkiewicz (Paula Kruger), David Evan Cooper (Kristin), Sydnei King and Atlas Cooper.
Due to Nancy's love of Africa and the wildlife there, especially Giraffes, she requested that donations be made to the Giraffe Conservation Foundation (https://giraffeconservation.org).
