It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Max Groeteka (Hamburg, Michigan), born in Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on February 3, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Groeteka and Thelma Groeteka (Lochmann); his sister Judy Jasper; his wives, Shelby Groeteka and Susan Groeteka; his stepson Johnny Klaus; and his grandson Russell Witke.
He is survived by: his children, Vicky Jackson, Ricky Groeteka (Helen), Cindy Lockart (Jim) and Mark Groeteka (Robin); his stepchildren, Susan Michelson (Bob), Kenneth Klaus and Cathy Witke; and his grandchildren, Melissa, Lori, Eric, Sarah, Jane, Elizabeth, Heather, Nicholas, Curtis, Chrissy, Amber, Michelle, Robby and Brett. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to family for future designation.
