He is survived by: his children, John Verlac of Hale, Jessica Guoan (Dean) of Hale and Julie Schaaf Romulous (Jason); his grandchildren, Elise McKenzie (Scott), Kyle Nelkie (Brynn), Jason Guoan, Karlee Nelkie (James), Jeffery Guoan (Bailey) and Colin Schaff; his great grandchildren, Maya Gibson, Royce Gibson, Josie Bailey, Elizabeth Borowski of East Tawas and Brenda Bullock-Verlac of Augres; his brother Bob Carrick of East Tawas; and his pets, Sasha and Tink.
