He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Spence and Lillian Spence (Bricken). He is survived by: his wife Helen Marie Ackerman; his children, Denise Murdoch, Mark Spence (Teresa), Nancy Davis (Jeff) and Jennifer McDougall (Matthew); his grandchildren, Hannah Murdoch, Kate Murdoch, Joylynn McLane, Chris McLane (Heather), Dustin Howes, Paige Wiegel (Hayden), Joshua Davis (Alison), Emily Bertoni (Fiore), Abigail Davis, Jacob Davis and Lauren Skidmore; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Eleanor Wiegel, Avacyn Bertoni, Bella Collier and Bre McLane. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Buresh Funeral Home - Hale (121 S Washington St, Hale, MI 48739).
