He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sutherland and Gladys Sutherland (Watts); his wife Lola May Sutherland; his daughter Faith Beckley; his granddaughter Sarah Sutherland; and his siblings, Ruth Umpstead, Marge Kracker, Doris Sutherland and Harold Sutherland.
He is survived by: his son Phil Sutherland (Karen) of Clio; his son-in-law David Beckley of Lapeer; his grandchildren, Jennifer Short of Richmond, Benjamin Beckley of Lapeer, Kevin Sutherland of Hadley and Elijah; and his brother Lee Sutherland of Burton.
