She was predeceased by: her parents, Karoline Dietzel (Stetler) and Gottfried Dietzel; and her grandson Josh Lehigh. She is survived by: her husband James R. Kauppila Sr. of Gwinn; her children, Angela York of Gwinn, Marian Kangas (Keith) of Sands, Sabine Kauppila (Robert Nelson) of Lake Villa, IL, Michelle Kauppila (Allen Jahovic) of Hobart, IN and James Kauppila Jr. (Tamera) of Elkhorn, WI; her sisters, Irma, Waltraud and Doris; and her great grandchildren, Jennifer Aker (Nick), Amanda James, French, Sara Swick (Michael), Mitchel Kauppila (Jamie), Samantha Baldwin (Lucas), Aimee Spinato (Matt), Amber Peacock (Matt), Megan Tarvas (Dakota), Henry Spinato Jr., Mason Kauppila, Lily Kauppila, Shyloh Lehigh, Myles Lehigh, Lydia Rose Baldwin, Willow Aker, Korben Aker, Gryffin Aker, Timothy Swick, Alyssa Swick, Abigail Swick, Micah Kauppila, Makayla Kauppila, Aiden Peacock, Liam Tarvas and Oliver Kaster. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
