It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Peramaki of Gwinn, Michigan, born in Newberry, Michigan, who passed away on September 5, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reino Peramaki and Bertha Peramaki (Mattson); his wife Lenora; his brother Peter; and his grandparents, Saul, Fannie Mattson, Emmanuel and Hilma Peramaki.

He is survived by: his former spouse Leon Methot; his wife Nancy Peramaki (Schoof) of Gwinn; his children, Matthew Peramaki (Anne) of Wetmore and Rebecca LaBrecque (Joe) of Marquette; his grandchildren, Michaela, Madeleine, Micaiah, Josiah Peramaki and Lauren LaBrecque; his siblings, Patricia LaCombe, Lawrence "Lorny" Methot and Warren "Toots" Methot; and his nieces and nephews, Jeff, Todd Wickstrom, Grant LaCombe, Miles Methot, David, Craig Haywood and Kim Methot.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mike's name may be made to the Munising Mustang Football program or the Gwinn Modeltowners Football program.
