With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herschel Darrell Smith (Gwinn, Michigan), born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, who passed away on September 14, 2021 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Herschel Darrell Smith to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Smith and Berneda Smith (Croom); and his wife Frances Smith. He is survived by: his children, Karon Wright (Sean) of Fayetteville, AR, Joseph Smith of New York, NY and Margaret Smith of Fayetteville, AR; his grandchildren, Jackson, Madison, Isabella, Caden and Carter Wright; his siblings, Phil Smith (Mary) of Hot Springs, AR, Mark Smith (Trina) of Jonesboro, AR, Becky Parrish (Anthanee) of San Antonio, TX and Vicki Bell (Mark) of Louisville, KY; and his close friend Nancy Frost. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Upper Peninsula Association of Michigan Southern Baptists, 285 Taylor Rd. Gwinn, MI 49841.
