With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Ruth Johnson of Gwinn, Michigan, born in Sherbrooke, Québec, who passed away on December 9, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Jacka and Dorothy Jacka (Conradson); her husband Art "Freddy" Johnson; her sister Marion Ombrello (Vic); and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Johnson (Leonard), Wesley Johnson (Jean), Marion Jacka and Phyllis Jacka.

She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Popour (Terry) of Gwinn, Fritz Johnson of Gwinn and Jerry Johnson (Laura) of Attica, MI; her grandchildren, Kristi Dahlstrom (Terry) of Gwinn, Tammy Marier (Dave) of Michigamme, Michael Lowney (Jenny) of Germantown, WI, Derek Johnson (Trisha) of Clinton Township, MI and Charlea Johnson of Gwinn; her stepgrandchildren, Tim Popour (Melissa) of Rockford, MI, Gina Debelak (Justin) of Negaunee and Alisha Cimini (Dion) of Lapeer, MI; her great grandchildren, Sydney Grabarczyk (Keith), Sophia Marier, Austin Grass, Michael Lowney, Finley, Emilia and Will Johnson; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Owen, Reyna Debelak, Aiden, Sully Popour and Luca Cimini; her siblings, Robert Jacka of Negaunee, Paul Jacka of Riverview, MI, Russell Jacka (Kathy) of Swartz Creek, MI and Nancy Mankee of Ishpeming; and her close friend Vern "Bun" Popour of Gwinn. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
