He is survived by: his wife Irene Mitchell; his siblings, Sharon Dani (Bill), Margaret Costello (John), Mike Mitchell, Jill Paris (Bruce) and Mark Mitchell (Amber); his children, Vicki Nelson (Chip), Christina O'Day (Bob), Dawn Mitchell and Kenny Rider; and his grandchildren, Craig Nelson, Robert Nelson, Alyssia Nunez, Megan O'Day (Cody Dugrenier), Dylan Landers, Athena Potier, Lucas Rider, Malona Gould (Travis), Dana Lee Rider, Brett Rider, Jason Rider and Melissa Rider.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (280 Boulder St, Gwinn, MI 49841). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
