With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Yvonne Hyde McCarthy of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 16, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Yvonne Marie DeSautels and Rollin Morton Hyde; and her husband Gerald McCarthy. She is survived by: her children, Sharon (Gerald Olkowski), Shawn, Kathleen (George Malis) and Colleen Witherspoon (Ed); her grandchildren, Jason (Melissa), Nickole Serna (Robert), Lauren (Logan Ware), Brittany Smith (Travis), Miranda Boulahanis, Rachel Witherspoon, Zachary Boulahanis, Eddie Witherspoon and Megan Olkowski; and her sons, Thomas Gerald and Gerald Frederick (Kimberly). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
