He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Zynda and Florence Zynda; his wife Ruth; his daughter Valerie; and his siblings, Carolyn Waitz, Thomas and Donald Zynda.
He is survived by: his son David; and his grandchildren, Emily and Jacob.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home (20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236). The lying in state was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 9:30 AM. A Mass was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at the Our Lady Star of the Sea Church (467 Fairford Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236).
