She was predeceased by : her parents, John Ruzza and Laura Ruzza (Santia); her husband Robert B. Hamlin; and her siblings, Mary Bodie and Rudolph Ruzza.

She is survived by : her children, Laura Hamlin Digan, Douglas J. Hamlin (Jerene), Robert Hamlin, Brian Hamlin (Michelle) and Patricia Padilla (Daniel); her grandchildren, Michael Digan (Laura Jean), Patrick Digan (Rachel), Owen Hamlin, D. Brooks Hamlin, Isabelle Hamlin, Chase Hamlin, Tyler Padilla, Lucas Padilla and Casey Padilla; and her great grandchild Charles Michael Digan.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home (20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236). The lying in state was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady Star of the Sea (467 Fairford Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
