She was predeceased by: her brother David; her husband John Louis Vanker; her grandsons, Jack and Flynn; and her great grandchild John.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Barba (Dave), John Vanker (Christy), Frank Vanker (Mary), David Vanker (Bridget Karle) and Anne Vanker (Thad MacKrell); her grandchildren, Johnny, Lauren, Brendan, Lily, Katie, Thaddeus, John Patrick and Daniel; and her great grandchildren, King Charles Spaniel and Oliver.
In memory of Elaine, donations may be made to Cass Community Social Services and Grosse Pointe United Methodist Church.
