It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Hoxley Fildew of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 31, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Fildew and Ruth Fildew; his siblings, Janet Harvey and William Fildew; and his siblings-in-law, Marjorie Lloyd and Carl Kaltwasser.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Lloyd Fildew; his sister Patricia Kaltwasser; his children, Stanley Fildew II (Kelley), Anne Grobel (Ian) and Mary Fildew; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Peter, Mary, Helena, Matthew and Isabelle. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and many cousins.
