It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Charles Hall (Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan), who passed away on August 20, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sidney Hall and Mildred Hall; his close friend Horst Uhr; and his sister Helen Albert (John). He was also cherished by niece and two nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews.
Noting Ed's achievement, Paul Needham, one of the world's authorities on the early history of printed books, declared that Ed's work embodied the very foundation stone of all scholarship--thinking.
