It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Anton Boll Sr. (Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan), who passed away on August 24, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Boll and Alberdiena Boll; and his sisters, Weya Alberdiena "Diena" Nelson and Henderiene "Riene" Wheatley. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Boll (Miller); his children, John Boll, Jr. (Donna), Lora Mazza (Sergio) and Kristine Mestdagh (Jim); his grandchildren, Amanda Sandulescu (Andrei), Alexandra Higgins (Nicklaus), Abigail Boll, Anton Boll and Justin (Margot Valladon); and his great grandchildren, Lilly Mazza, Lucy Higgins and Thea Sandulescu.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boll Family YMCA, 1401 Broadway Street, Detroit, MI, 48226; Ocean Reef Chapel, 32 Ocean Reef Drive, Key Largo, FL, 33037 and The Helm at the Boll Life Center, 158 Ridge Road, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236.

He has supported many entities that have given me joy like the DSO, the DIA and the Riverfront conservancy. His memory will always be present to those who benefitted from his generosity.
