Robert Mattern Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Mattern of Grosse Ile, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Adrienne; his sons, Robert Stephen Mattern, Donald Mattern (Denise) and Brian Mattern (Heather); and his grandchildren, Samantha, Jacob, Benjamin, Katie and Brennan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Molnar Funeral Homes - Nixon Chapel (2544 Biddle Ave, Wyandotte, MI 48192). A vigil service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (344 Elm St, Wyandotte, MI 48192). A Mass will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Angela Hospice (http://angelahospice.org) or to St. Joseph's St. Vincent Pallotti Church for Masses in Bob's honor. Donation envelopes for Masses will be available at the funeral home.
