He is survived by: his spouse Terry Sharkey; his children, Roxanne Gayheart (Rick), Robert Sharkey Jr. (Dora Rodriguez) and Rene Matchko (Ray); his grandchildren, Steven Gayheart (Justice), Nicole Gayheart (Jon Barley), Robert Sharkey (Kel), Samantha Sharkey (Josh McLaughlin), Michael Matchko (Samantha Hammond), Tyler Matchko and Noah Matchko (Alexis); his great grandchildren, Ozzy, Luna, Roman, Amara, Michaela, Miles, Layla and Ashton; and his sister Marlene Nugent.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family (10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery (32163 Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134).
