She was predeceased by: her former husband Gilbert. She is survived by: her children, Gilbert, Lorie Polgar (Michael), Patty Migoski (Mike) and Molly Dickieson (Bill); her grandchildren, Mitchell Polgar (Kate), Brittany Joseph (Mike), Julianne Bruley (Ryan), Kirsten Kearney (Larry), Brett, Sidney, Leslie, Peter and Charli Baker (Ian); her great grandchildren, Abbey, Lila, Miles, Eleanor, Annabel, Sam, Oliver, Violet, Parker, Maggie and Sebastian; her brother Frank Alandt (Katie); and her husband Gil.

“I was her son's close friend growing up and Julie (always Mrs. Brett to me) was always kind to me and quick with some sandwiches and milk when Gil and I would come back all hot and muddy from football or baseball or just getting messy like boys tend to do. If there's a heaven she's with Mr. Brett and if dogs are allowed, I hope she is reunited with Missy, who followed Julie around all the time. My condolences go out to the entire Brett family.”
