She was predeceased by: her siblings, Pat Lema, Frances Mayhew, Marie Muha, Charles, Jim, Robert and Arthur Garbarino.
She is survived by: her sons, John C. Cortis (Diane) and Richard A. Cortis (Charlotte); her grandchildren, Matthew (Nikki), Alexander and Abigail; and her husband Henry C. Cortis.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church in Betty's memory.
