He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory J. Blanding and Anna C. Blanding (Williams); his siblings, Arthur Blanding, Marian Miller and Dorothy Amidon; and his former wife Melody Legh.
He is survived by: his wife Irene (Roberts); his children, Michael Blanding (Judy), Christopher Blanding (Terry), Rebecca Whitt (Michael) and Suzan McCullough; his grandchildren, Eric Blanding (Christa Student), Nedra Kanavel (Rob), Scott Schrader (Corinna), Kimberly Becher (Shayne), Traci Schrader and Tracy Barrett; and his sisters, Eleanor Hansen Rose, Joyce Price and Rev. Jane Crabtree (Jean Arthur). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
