He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee "Doc" and Florence Benedict (Eastman); and his siblings, Betty Arntz (Bill), Lee "Pat" Benedict (Lucy), Joyce Barber (Carl), Don Benedict (Judy) and Richard Benedict.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon (Hahnenberg); his children, Craig Benedict (Sandy Warner), Alan Benedict (Joanne), Julie Erskin (Phil) and Misty Zell (Jeramie); his sister-in-law Hazel Benedict; and his stepsister Sonja Ruble. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
