He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Wood and Maxine Wood. He is survived by: his children, DeAnne Swiercz (Mark) and Chris Wood (Renee); his grandchildren, Nicholas Tompkins (Amanda), Krystalyn Wood (Sylvie), Chandler Swiercz, Anna Wood, Ellice Thomas (Evan) and Laura Parker (Jon); his great grandchildren, Zander, Broden, Dax, Gabriel, Shelbie, Aiden, Cadence, William, Mae and Elwood; his brothers, Gary Wood (Pam) and Jack Wood (Gay); his nieces, Angi Adams (Glenn), Susie Nichols (Joe) and Jessica Knickerbocker (Adam); his nephew Marcus Wood; and his great-nieces, Eva and Terra Knickerbocker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Paralyzed Veterans of America or The Nature Conservancy.
