He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Gates and Leona Gates (Wickham); and his nephew Joel Jones III. He is survived by: his wife Charlene; his children, Deborah Baldwin (Jack) of Sheridan, Rhonda Buchholz (Gary) of Stanton, Rachelle Cartwright (Charles) of Ithaca and Rob Gates (Lisa) of Trufant; his grandchildren, Brooke Lynn Baldwin of Gowen, Benjamin Baldwin of Lansing, Elizabeth Minda (Scott) of Washington Township, Kristen Coston (Sanford) of Edmore, Trish Buchholz of Stanton, Chelsey Kellams (Ricky) of Lakeview, Jeremiah Buchholz (Lilly) of Alvin, Texas, Melissa Morton (Nick) of Alma, Courtney Cartwright of Ithaca, Cody Cartwright of Ithaca, Christopher Gates of Stanton and Nicole Howard (Randy) of Carson City; and his sister Sharon Jones (Joel) of Sheridan.
