He is survived by: his wife Cindy Hewitt; his children, Kristian Hewitt, Paul Hewitt, Andrew Hewitt, Carrie Haskin (Greg) and Cory McCarthy; his grandchildren, Cooper Hewitt, Bailey Hewitt, Camron Hewitt, Kendall Hewitt, Charlotte Hewitt, Deacon Hewitt and Jenna McCarthy; his great grandchild Kristjan Esman; his siblings, Robert Hewitt and Ruth Hughes (Michael); and his mother-in-law Lynda Wittkopp. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
