He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Hoose and Edith Van Hoose (Musser); and his brother-in-law Richard Godfrey. He is survived by: his former wife Beverly; his children, Tracy Valentine (Gary), Mark Van Hoose (Laurie Coville), Lori Van Hoose, Beth Hallock (Tom) and Rick Van Hoose (Julie); his grandchildren, Leslie Roberts (Derek Buchholz), Shawnna Rowland (Troy), Ashley Ray, Ben Van Hoose (Megan), Lisa Watts (Tim), Courtney Brokaw (Tony), Kyle Swindell, Paige Hallock, Alexys O'Dell (Luke), Zoe Hallock, Asa Van Hoose and Averi Van Hoose; his siblings, Harley Van Hoose (Linda) and Nora Godfrey; and his brother-in-law Bob Burgess (Gayla). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Montcalm County Animal Shelter or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
