It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norbert Francis Vander Steen of Greenville, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on October 24, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Steen and Henrietta Vander Steen; his brother Ray Vander Steen; and his siblings-in-law, Cletis Dick, Danny Rogers and Mickey Vander Steen.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Remmy; his children, Kim Vander Steen (Anthony Cinquegrani), Kris Lula (Mark), Kurt Vander Steen (Jane) and Kent Vander Steen (Cindy); his grandchildren, Krista Hunsanger (James), Steven Lula (Marirose), John Vander Steen, Michelle Lula, Jennifer Lula, Kelli Lerg (Andrew), Claire Cinquegrani (Jake Druecke) and Sarah Vander Steen; his siblings, Eileen Dick, Thomas Vander Steen and Lorraine Rogers; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Hellerich (Darlene), Irene Caton, Elizabeth Conrad and Barbara Nevins (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts in Norb's memory be given to the Central Montcalm Community Foundation, Jackie Vander Steen endowment, or to the St. Charles School Foundation.
