She is survived by: her husband Jim; her sons, Keith Merdzinski (Amy) of Muskegon and Kevin Merdzinski (Jenny) of Kentwood; her grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah, Hannah (Sam), Kasey, Eryn, Anthony (Alma), Zachary, Ethan, Madyson, Isaac and Abram; her great grandchild Beckett; and her sister Rae Draper (Edward) of Greenville.
Memorial contributions in Melanie's name are suggested to the Carmelite Nuns of Ada (Parnell) Michigan.
