He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Swartz and Ethel Swartz (Ketchum); and his siblings, Garold Swartz, Winona "Toni" Kozak, Phyllis Huyck and Jerry Swartz.
He is survived by: his wife Iva Mae Jurden; his children, Pamela Swartz of Stanton, Greg Swartz (Kathi) of Greenville and Brenda Swartz of Grand Rapids; his grandsons, Jason Swartz of Greenville, Matthew Swartz (Sarah) of Stanton, Michael Swartz (Megan) of Seattle and Christopher Zizos of Grand Rapids; his great grandchild Clark Swartz; and his sisters-in-law, Lory Lockwood, Cindy Dines and Lela Jurden. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be given to Spectrum Health Hospice or Mid-Michigan Honor Flight.
