She was predeceased by: her parents, L. D. Houghton and Mildred Houghton (Johnson); her husband Ray Christensen; her parents-in-law, Sophus and Bernice Christensen; her sisters, Aldene Bush and Phyllis Van Zyell; and her siblings-in-law, Bruce Johnson, Lyle Christensen, Gene Christensen and Eloise.

She is survived by: her sons, Thomas Christensen (Sandy Frye), Joe Christensen (Rose) and Del Christensen (Kim); her grandchildren, Trisha Wetzel (Ryan), Stacey Babcock (Justin), Sarah Christensen (Nick Moe), Thomas Christensen (Kassie), Linsey Christensen (Chris Rarick) and Ryan Christensen (Ashley); her sisters, Connie Rutledge and Elaine Johnson; and her siblings-in-law, Bruce Christensen (Ruth), Ruth Ann Johnson and Ann Christensen. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
