He is survived by: his parents, Milan Elkins and Hilda Elkins (Krupp); his spouses, Patricia A. Sellers and Pat; his daughters, Karen Van Steenkiste (Jim), Joann Behnke (Gary) and Cheryl Kaltz (Joe); his grandchildren, Scott Ostrom (Emily), Kelli Ostrom (Kyle Sidor), Sarah Stadtfeld (Jason), Janelle Behnke, James Kaltz and Joshua Kaltz; his great grandchildren, Lucas Ostrom, Alena Stadtfeld and Emma Stadtfeld; his sisters, Donna Engemann and Lois Howell (Don); and his brother-in-law Alfred Sellers (Sandra). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
