She was predeceased by: her parents, George Taylor and Besa Taylor (Wellington); and her husband Joseph Schmidt. She is survived by: her children, Bill Gardner, Bob Gardner and Linda Young. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
