He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick M. Keppler and Lela M. Keppler (Huss); his son Jeffery C. Keppler; and his former wife Anne Berkeley Kleinschmidt. He is survived by: his children, Kent R. Kleinschmidt (Sherry), Peter K. Kleinschmidt (Pamela) and Katheryn A. Kleinschmidt (Sherry Stewart); his wife Victoria; and his daughters, Nicole Joshi (Darius) and Amber Marlatt. He is also survived by several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express a remembrance may do so by donation to Hospice of Michigan, or Bostwick Lake Congregational United Church of Christ, Property Improvement Fund.
