He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Gulembo; his siblings, Johanna Gibson, Frank Gulembo and John Gulembo; his nieces, Tammy Bates and Joy Shields; his parents-in-law, Merle and Opal Bates; and his great-nephew Ian O'Brien.

He is survived by: his children, Herbert L. Gulembo Sr. (Johanna T. Pippet), William Gulembo (Suzi) and Christine Mason (Matthew); his grandchildren, Bill Jr. Gulembo (Mallory), Kassidy Gulembo (Sugar Pie), Katelyn Gulembo (Jesse), Hannah Vandermey, Liam Gulembo, Elijah Gulembo, Hudson Gulembo, Kaylee Hinton (Robert) and Brian Hinton (Kaylee); his great grandchildren, Dayton Gulembo and Gigi Gulembo; his siblings-in-law, Irene McCumber and Larry Bates (Judy); and his close friend Val Hansen. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives.
