He is survived by: his parents, Arthur Knapp and Margaret Knapp; his wife Marilyn Knapp (Switzer); his children, Lisa and Troy; his granddaughter Chelsea; his children, Brennen, Alexus and Andrew; his grandson Travis; his children, Aspen, Emmett, Alexis and Noah; his siblings, Alice and Robert; his siblings-in-law, Dale Switzer of San Diego, Char Switzer of Greenville and Roz Wilcox of Grand Rapids; his brother Roger Knapp; his great-nephew Nathan Jensen; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Switzer, Richard Lyle Wilcox and Constance Switzer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In keeping with Gerald's wishes he has been cremated and a memorial service will he held Tuesday December 4, 2018 at 11 AM with a visitation beginning at 10 AM at Hurst Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Flat River Community Library, the Humane Society, or the Commission on Aging.
