He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Mason, and Beulah Mason, Sr. (Jones); his wife Diana Mason (Blum); and his children, Terri, Donna, George, Ed and Diane.

He is survived by: his children, Wanda Adams (Glenn) of Greenville, Richard Olsen of Greenville and Julie Martin (Doug) of Texas; his brother Alan Mason of Greenville; and his close friend Carl Quay of Greenville. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests that when making a memorial contribution in George's name please consider the need of the family.
