He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Donald and Marjorie M. Hammond (Slicker); his brother Donald Harry Hammond; and his nephew Christopher Lee Hammond. He is survived by: his children, Angela, Joshua Batey of Trufant and Nathan Charles Hammond of Greenville; his granddaughters, Monica Batey, Clara Batey and Sassy Hammond; his siblings, Catherine (Roger Hausler) and Walter (Catherine Hammond); his sister-in-law Teresa Hammond of Gowen; and his aunts, Coleen "Coke" Slicker of Garland and Darlene Slicker of West Macomb. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
