He was predeceased by: his parents, Ward Blair Borton and Virginia Louise Becannen Borton; his sister Joanne Rising Snyder; his brother-in-law Ambrose Todd; and his son-in-law Michael Wilberding.
He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, Brenda Hansen (Duke), Anne Borton, Anthony Borton, Cathleen Arrington (Ibar), Lori Wilberding and Susan Miller (Chad); and his sister Jean Todd. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Greenville Lions Club.
