It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evella Petersen of Greenville, Michigan, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evella Petersen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Young and Alta Young; her brother Harvey Lee; her former husband LaVerne; her sisters, Mary Ella Atkinson and Betty York; her brothers-in-law, Gene Petersen, Louie Atkinson of John York, J. B, Creason and James Smith; her son-in-law John Frisbey; and her grandson-in-law Kevin Vohland.
She is survived by: her husband Sinclair; her children, Shelia (Edward Sebald), Paula Frisbey of Olathe, Greg (Dona Petersen) and Rodney (Kathy Petersen); her grandchildren, Tim Sebald, Lisa Cogswell (Jerry), Michael Sebald (Kelley), Jennifer Vohland, Christina Dodds (Jonathan), Rebecca Williford (Matthew), Jared Petersen (Rachel), Jenna Petersen, Jacob Petersen (Lauren), Emily Petersen and Amanda Petersen; her sisters, Joyce Creason and Lucy Smith of Crossville, Tennessee; and her sister-in-law Betty Petersen of Huntersville. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hurst Funeral Home (1801 W Washington St, Greenville, MI 48838). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to Liberty Baptist Church or the Montcalm County Commission on Aging.
