He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Slagel and Laura Slagel (Darling); and his parents-in-law, Albert and Harriet Dykstra. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; and his children, Zachary (Christina), Cindy, Janet and Brian. He is also survived by two sisters; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many other extended family.
